The historic Old Bakehouse combines grandeur with all the traditional warmth and welcome of a country guest house. Our four bedrooms have been lovingly updated, each with their own signature style, but all staying true to the building’s original 19th century roots.

The three double bedrooms and one twin room all have ensuite bathrooms with beautifully scented, eco-friendly Faith In Nature toiletries.

Each room features free wi-fi, TV with Freeview and complimentary tea and coffee-making facilities, including Tea Pigs, Taylors of Harrogate Coffee Bags and Moores Biscuits.

After a restful night’s sleep, start every morning with a hearty cooked breakfast and a range of fresh fruits, cereals and breads in our dining room. Then plan your days out in the beautiful Axe Valley or visit the nearby Jurassic Coast for swimming, fossil hunting or spectacular cliff-top walks. Other local activities include golf courses, horse-riding and access to great cycle paths. Cyclists can secure their bikes inside the building.

Later, you can relax in our lounge, browse our extensive bookshelves or listen to one of our many vinyl records on the record player.

Unwind in comfort in our elegant Hay Room, ideal for couples and solo travellers. Relax in a king size bed with soft cotton linens and enjoy a private ensuite bathroom with a full-size bath and overhead shower. The room is graced with a classic Georgian sash window, flooding the space with natural light and offering picturesque views of Colyton’s timeless streets.

Decorated in pale blue Farrow & Ball paint, this charming room includes an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower. Perfect for couples and solo travellers, the room features a classic Georgian sash window with a comfortable chair ideal for reading or taking in the views of historic Colyton.

 

The Green Room

The Pavilion

Beautifully appointed twin bedroom where historic charm meets modern comfort. This inviting space features two single beds with soft linens, antique furniture and an ensuite bathroom with full-size bath and overhead shower. Enjoy views of Colyton streets through the large Georgian sash window.
