Entrance hall leads to main stairs to guest bedrooms.
Also leads to ground floor dining area and guest lounge.


Main guest areas

Stone flooring in hallway, tiled floor in dining area, mix of tile and stone flooring in guest lounge.

Two customer toilet cubicles downstairs available. No disabled facilities.

All bedrooms are located on the first floor. Stairs to bedrooms, no lift available. Carpet on stairs, landing and bedrooms.
Good lighting in all areas.

Doors have handles. Guests given own room and front door key.


Bedrooms

We have three double bedrooms and one twin room with two single beds. Each rooms is carpeted.

All rooms have free wi-fi, TV with Freeview and tea and coffee-making facilities with drinking water. Tea, coffee and milk is provided.

All rooms include an en-suite bathroom, with vinyl floor. Two rooms have baths and showers. Two rooms have showers only. Anti-slip mats are available in the bath/ showers, along with handrails to help gain access.

All rooms have low doorway entrances, but are signposted with height warnings.


Diets and special needs

The accommodation is not recommended for visually impaired visitors unless accompanied. Choice of vegetarian, vegan and gluten free menu offered, please let us know when you book if you have any special or dietary requirements.

Emergency / Fire routine

In the event of an emergency / fire the emergency lighting system will illuminate and the fire alarm will sound (a continuous ringing bell).  There are fire extinguishers throughout the building and fire alarm call points on the first floor, ground floor hallway (and kitchen).

We are available in an emergency 24 hours a day on our mobile phone numbers and live on site. However, we are not always on site 24 hours a day.

​Should you require assistance to advise you in the unlikely event of an emergency taking place, or to evacuate the building, please discuss this with us prior to or on arrival and we can discuss the options available.

 

The Cottage

 

Main entrance

Main entrance reached via front door. Guests access key from lock box on wall left of front door. Code provided on booking.


Entrance hall leads to guest bedrooms on left and right. Also leads to utility room containing freezer, washing machine and cleaning equipment. A second utility room contains a double wardrobe for guests.


Main Areas

Engineered wood flooring in hallway, laminate floor in first utility room, carpets in both bedrooms and second utility room.

Carpeted stairs lead to first floor open plan lounge, split level dining area and links to kitchen. Double doors from dining area open to balcony overlooking gated courtyard.

Lounge has wooden floorboards with large rug, dining area is engineered wood, kitchen floor is vinyl.
Good lighting in all areas.

Doors have handles.


Bedrooms

We have two double bedrooms, one with double bed, the other with two single beds which can be linked.

One rooms has an en-suite bathroom, the other has a separate bathroom accessed one metre from the room across the hallway. Both bathrooms have showers only. Handrails are not provided. Both rooms have engineered wood floor.

In the event of an emergency / fire the fire alarm will sound (a continuous ringing bell).  There are fire extinguishers on the first floor.


Additional Information

Colyton now has two EV chargers for those who drive electric cars. These are located at the Dolphin Street car park in the town centre, about 100 metres from the cottage. The units can rapid charge up to four vehicles at once, taking around 40 minutes to provide 80 per cent of a full charge. Payment via the Wenea App.
